Is the software free?
Yes, we offer a free version that uses GPS on the phone for limited functionality. With the purchase of the Car Connector diagnostic device, you will receive a license key that will activate more functionality of the software that is available from the vehicle network connection.

Is my mobile phone compatible with Motolingo software?
Motolingo software works with phones that run on Android 2.0 and higher and Windows Phone 7.0 and higher.

Installation FAQ

Where do I plug in the Car Communicator device?
Typically on the "driver's side" of the vehicle under the dash between the door and the center of the vehicle. Sometimes the connector will have a protective cap on top that has to be removed before inserting the Car Communicator. The orientation can also be facing downward towards the floorboard vs. the outward facing version as shown below.


How do I setup the Bluetooth connection?
The mobile app will guide you through the setup of a Bluetooth link during the initial installation.  Once connected, the app should reconnect automatically whenever the Bluetooth devices are in range and powered.
